First of all, hello. I'm Einlanzers. I'm a friend of Dyce's from High School (kinda). I plan on showing up to the LAN with my girlfriend we have installed:
CS:S, TF2, L4D, and much more.
I had a few questions though:
1) Networking: Are you providing all the equipment/cables, or do I need to bring anything of mine own? No wireless required, right (I don't have one installed in my PC).
2) Deskspace: Are you guys are supplying a desk-space and some sort of power strip for us? I guess what I'm asking is what do you expect most people need to bring?
3) Gaming: How exactly does the lineup work? Do we have a set rotation and everyone tries to stick to? Or is it just whoever wants to play whatever can play that with one another? Will there be tournaments?
4) Drinks: What drinks are being supplied ?
5) Friends: I may have a few friends from school that have CS:S/TF2/L4D is it alright if I invite them? Is there a limit to how many I invite ?

In an effort to decrease required setup time, we request that you come to the lan pre-loaded with the listed games if at all possible. If you are unable to do so, please contact your LGN representative and we will work with you to bring your computer back up to speed.

For this lan we are going to be seeking sponsorship. At first this may mean just some flyers and posters to see, but possibly free giveaways of stuff. There is no guarantee that we will get stuff, or how much, but it will be nice to be able we are sponsored by (insert name here). And we can have more than one sponsor, we just don’t want to overdo it and be greedy. Searching online about it many people say that in the end 1 giveaway for every 7-9 people is plenty, if the ratio is more like 1-2 or 3 people feel cheated if they do not receive something. I do not want people to feel cheated for not getting anything. I would like the people that do get something to feel good.

In the poll above I have listed some companies that I have found to sponsor lan parties, if anyone has any suggestions or any contacts please feel free to follow them up and look into the possibilities.

Well it is almost this time again, and we should really figure out if we're going to do this and where.
